Under The Gun: Cameron Snow
Written by Trey Daly

Impact Baseball hit the road to Durham, North Carolina for the latest "In The Dugout" interview with the future East Carolina Pirate Cameron Snow. Snow plays a vital role for Durham Riverside High School this season and has high hopes for his senior year.

Name: Cameron Snow
High School: Durham Riverside High School
Position: SS
Graduation: 2013
College Commitment: ECU

How did you begin playing baseball?

I was basically born with a bat in my hand, but I started playing competitively when I was around the age of three in a recreation league. I started playing eight and under traveling baseball at the age of six.

What do you bring to the game?

I'm a gritty type of player that will grind it out and come up big in the clutch. I can spray the ball all over the field and can make plays defensively. I'm also the closer for our team and take a lot of pride and enjoyment closing out a game.

When people come to watch Durham Riverside play this year, what should they expect?

They will see an exciting up-tempo game with a lot of stealing, hit and runs and gap to gap hitting.  Our goal is to go up ten runs on a team as quickly as possible.  With the talent on our team, we are capable of doing that every time out.

What's your best tool?

My best tool is my hitting ability, I feel like I can go foul line to foul line with my hitting. Meaning I can produce hits to all parts of the field which makes it difficult for a pitcher to pitch to me.

Who's the best player you ever played with?

Max Schrock

Who's your role model?

I have always looked up to my father, he taught me how to play the game the right way and everything I do on the field.  He's also taught me life lessons and how to be a man.

What's your favorite movie?

Shooter

Who's your favorite musician?

Lynyrd Skynyrd

What are your plans for this upcoming summer?

I’m playing legion ball with some players from local high schools, and will head to East Carolina to start summer school.

What’s your Super Bowl prediction?

Ravens 21-17
