FAQs

More FAQ's coming soon...

1. What is Impact Baseball All About?

Impact Baseball is the most advanced and progressive high school baseball scouting and player information service in the Carolinas and Virginia. Our goal is to identify as many of the top prospects as we possibly can. The Impact Baseball scouting team travels throughout the region looking for top prospects. We also rely on a web of contacts throughout the region for assistance.

2. Who do you consider a Prospect?

A prospect to Impact Baseball must parade high-grade baseball tools. The player needs to manifest the ability to progress and play college or professional baseball after high school.

3. How does a player land in the Impact Baseball Prospect Database?

As stated before, Impact Baseball prospects must exhibit high-grade baseball tools. The players listed are prospects we feel that have the up-most aptitude and projectablity. This process is very difficult so there will be many talented players who are left off the lists.

4. If someone informs you that they have seen a potential prospect, and recommends them to you, do you automatically add them to your Prospect List?

No. But, we do encourage people to inform us about potential prospects. Bottom line, the Impact Baseball staff makes the final decision of who lands on the Follow Lists.

5. If a player has not been placed on an Impact Baseball Follow List as a junior, does that mean they will never be on the senior’s Follow List?

No. High school players can change in a very short amount of time. The Impact Baseball staff continues to check up on potential prospects. Again, we encourage you to bring us up to date on players in your area.

6. Will you ever remove a player from your Follow List and if so, why?

Yes. This is something Impact Baseball tries to avoid, but again, high school athletes can change very quickly.

7. What is an Impact Baseball Showcase?

This is where a large body of selected players will receive an opening to display their talents and skills before the Impact Baseball scout team, and an abundance of college recruiters and pro scouts. The showcase will provide each participant the opportunity to exhibit all of their talents and abilities through workouts and organized games.

8. Who gets invited to the Impact Baseball Showcases?

Invited are top-notch players we feel have the ability to compete and play baseball in college or at the professional level after high school. For our "Regional," "Underclassman" and "Unsigned Senior" showcases, we allow players to sign-up without being selected by our staff. Players can do this by printing off the profile form from our website. We also have strict "invite only" showcases where we hand pick the players to invite.

9. Can you nominate a player for an Impact Baseball Showcase?

Yes. We have a "Nominate a Player" form in our Showcase section of ImpactBaseball.com. We ask that parents, coaches, players, etc. provide this information to us so we may follow up and potentially invite these players to our upcoming events.

10. How many college coaches and professional scouts attend Impact Baseball Showcases?

Well over 100 different colleges and pro clubs attend our showcases throughout the year. We host regional type events, targeting players from selected areas. This in turn draws numerous college coaches and scouts from that selected region.

11. Why is ImpactBaseball.com a subscription based website?

We are one of the most advanced scouting reports services on the East Coast. We have a staff that we must compensate so they may continue to provide all of our college coaches, professional scouts and our other viewers with valuable information.
